*
For more than 50 years, Claude Wesel was one of the leaders of line of contemporary jewelry in Belgium.
He is at the origin of a exceptional production, both in terms of the beauty of the pieces achieved only by their inventiveness. An accomplished goldsmith, Claude Wesell is just as much a sculptor as a jeweler. His expertise as a craftsman is unknown limits. From lost wax to sculpture, from enamelling to setting of stones, precious wood with delicate use of colored acrylic, Wesel discovers, tests, invents a language biomechanics where technique and organic dialogue.
Galerie MiniMasterpiece has chosen to highlight a unpublished set in France of 15 BOLOS
by Claude Wesel in silver and solid gold.
From 1995 until his death in 2014, Wesel undertakes to revisit the famous bolo-tie of the southwest American worn by Native Americans then the cowboys of Arizona. With the particularity of being a unisex jewel and made a leather or cotton lace with each end ending by a metal tip, the bolo is associated with a clasp
in more or less sophisticated medallion shape.
