Aurelia Bire

Aurélia Bire is a French interior designer, artist, and entrepreneur. Born in Paris in 1974, she is laureate of the French Design 100 in 2019.
Aurelia designs for life, exploring the relationship between art, design and interior. She likes to blur frontiers between usual categories, and reinvent the classical way things are done.
She endlessly aims at a subtle balance between comfort and esthetics, function and poetry, universality and singularity, inventing a formal language which speaks to the soul. The mother of a daughter with Down Syndrome, she is an advocate of such values as uniqueness, simplicity and humanity and supports the emergence of an inclusive society.

For Aurelia, jewelry is an opportunity to develop her language at a more intimate scale. For Perfectly imperfect pieces (one shape or 3 shapes), she wrote:
Delicate imperfect shapes, some sort of perfection springing out of imperfection, a reminder that we are all perfectly imperfect.
