Géraldine Luttenbacher

To express myself, I first chose plastic arts, then contemporary jewelry. My work as a plastic artist is supported by the technical know-how of high jewelry. As a sculptor I create unique piece.
From my very first works in 1991, I have wanted to work with natural materials, choosing not to use some, that I would describe as too precious, such as ivory, coral or tortoishell, prefering stones and materials that do not have a high speculative value. My work aims to promote a possible harmony between nature and mankind because it is our most precious story.

Born in Saumur, France, in 1965, Géraldine Luttenbacher’s approach to jewelry is naturalistic and sculptural with a taste for the marvellous, the spectacle and the rythms of nature. She likes to combine precious materials with less precious ones, she integrates bamboo, copper or bone with gold ; super 8 film with silver.
After a diploma in jewelry and trainning in design (HBJO Paris) she worked for various houses on Place Vendôme in Paris (Van-Cleef & Arpels,Boucheron, Dior, Chaumet) before creating her own workshop. In 1992, on the initiative of Jean-Jacques Victor, teacher and metal sculptor at ENSAAMA Paris, she became a founding member (programs and teaching) of the AFEDAP, the first trainning school for contemporary jewelry in Paris.
For more than twenty years she was represented by the Naĩla de Monbrison Gallery. And in 2021 chose to join MiniMasterpiece gallery. Her work have been purchase by the Fond National d’Art Contemporain and is part of the Paris Musée des arts Décoratifs’ collection.
